Our charity work
began in 2000 from a single charity golf tournament benefiting
Joe
DiMaggio Children's Hospital.
With the proceeds, we purchased toys for the children at the cancer ward and visited them on Christmas Day. "Santa" handed out presents, hoping his visit would brighten their day. Now, the golf charity is more successful then ever and we are expanding our charity so that we can give even more to the ones who need it the most. In 2004, we created the Dependonus Foundation in memory of Steven La Bruyere one of the special children that started it all.     These brave children have to endure so much & they do it with courage & strength. They are our inspiration! |
The
Dependonus Foundation was established in loving memory of Stephen
A. La Bruyere, Jr. During the 2003 holiday season, we
were astounded when one of the children we had hoped to surprise,
gave us a gift!
It was Stephen. His love of life and excitement woke something up inside us. He gave us insight to what we were trying to accomplish. It became very clear that what we were doing was just the tip of what could be accomplished. Not long ago, Stephen lost his battle with cancer a few days before his 6th Birthday
